Lovebit: Couple Widget & Pet · Last updated November 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Lovebit team ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the Lovebit: Couple Widget & Pet mobile application for iPhone (iOS) and Android, including its widgets (the "App"), app ID com.lovebit.days.counter.couple.widget.pet. By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
- Lovebit is an app for two people in a relationship: a love days counter, notes and drawings, a shared photo album (Memories), a shared pet and home screen widgets.
- What you send through the App (notes, drawings, photos, names, dates) is shared only with the one partner you paired with. Nothing is published or visible to other users.
- The App uses Google services (Firebase, AdMob) for accounts, notifications, analytics, crash reports and advertising, and Apple or Google for sign-in and payments. These collect limited device and usage data as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time from the App. See how to delete your account.
2. Your account
When you first open the App, an anonymous account is created for you automatically (Firebase Anonymous Authentication). It has a random user ID and no name, email or password. The App shows this ID in More → Account ID.
If you choose to back up your data, the anonymous account is linked to the account you sign in with:
- Sign in with Google (iPhone and Android): we receive the email address of that Google account.
- Sign in with Apple (iPhone only): we receive the email address Apple shares with us (this can be a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email") and, the first time, the name on your Apple ID.
We use this only to sign you back in and restore your data on a new phone. An Apple sign-in can only be restored on iPhone.
3. What you share with your partner
To pair, one of you creates a 6-character code and the other enters it. After pairing, the following is stored on our servers so both phones show the same thing:
- Profile: the names you enter for yourself and your partner, profile photos, a couple photo, and the date your relationship started.
- Dates: anniversaries and special dates you add, with their reminder settings.
- Notes: text notes, hand drawings and photos you send.
- Memories: photos with an optional caption and a date.
- Pet: your shared pet, its stats, items and coins, and a log of who fed or played with it.
All of this is optional and is only accessible to you and your paired partner. Photos are compressed on your phone and stored in a private storage bucket; our server checks that the requester belongs to the couple before returning any file. To show your partner's newest note or memory in a notification or widget, the App fetches it from our server using a private, expiring link or a widget key that only works for your couple. We do not use your notes, drawings or photos for advertising or analytics.
On Android only, if you turn on the lock screen option, the App sets your partner's newest drawing or Memories photo as your lock screen wallpaper on your phone. This happens on your device only and needs your consent first. This feature does not exist on iPhone.
4. Information collected automatically
- Identifiers: your account user ID, the advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android; on iPhone the IDFA, only if you allow tracking), the Firebase installation ID and a push notification token.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system and version, language, approximate country or region derived from settings or IP address, and app version.
- Usage data: screens viewed and buttons tapped (for example "opened Memories", "fed the pet"), session length, and ad impressions and clicks. Usage events never contain the text of your notes or your photos.
- App integrity: Firebase App Check uses Google Play Integrity (Android) or Apple App Attest (iPhone) to confirm requests come from the genuine App.
- Crash reports and diagnostics: on iPhone, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version and a Firebase installation ID) when the App crashes. The Google advertising and Firebase SDKs also send technical information to measure performance and fix problems.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
5. Device permissions
The App only asks for a permission when a feature needs it. You can change these at any time in your phone's settings.
| Permission | Platform | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Internet | Both | To sync with your partner, back up your data, load ads and send analytics. |
| Notifications | Both | To tell you when your partner sends a note or adds a memory, and to remind you about anniversaries and your pet. Optional. |
| Photos (system photo picker) | Both | To pick a photo you choose for your profile, notes or Memories. The App only receives the photos you select. |
| Add to Photos | iPhone | To save a note or drawing to your photo library when you choose to. The App cannot read your library with this permission. |
| Storage | Android 9 and older | To save a picture to your gallery when you choose to. |
| Set wallpaper | Android | Only for the optional lock screen feature. The App never changes your home screen wallpaper. |
| Advertising ID | Android | To show and measure ads. You can reset or delete it in Android settings. |
| App Tracking Transparency | iPhone | Asks whether the App may use your IDFA to show more relevant ads. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared and you still see ads, just less personalized. |
6. How we use information
- To provide the App: pairing, syncing your days, notes, Memories and pet with your partner, widgets and backup.
- To send notifications you have allowed.
- To understand how the App is used and to fix bugs and crashes.
- To show advertising, including personalized ads where permitted, and to measure ad performance.
- To process and verify purchases and subscriptions.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, for example by limiting how often a pairing code can be guessed.
- To respond to your requests and comply with legal obligations.
7. Service providers and third parties
We use these providers to run the App. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check) – firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform – policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing – policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, Apple Push Notification service, App Attest) – apple.com/legal/privacy
- Cloudflare (Workers, D1 database and R2 storage, which host our server and your shared data) – cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
We share advertising and device identifiers and approximate location with Google AdMob to show and measure ads. We do not share your notes, drawings, photos or names with any third party for their own purposes.
8. Advertising and your choices
The App is free and shows ads, for example when the App opens, on the first language screen, at the bottom of the main screens, and in the Pet feature (including optional rewarded videos that give coins or spins).
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google's consent form before showing personalized ads.
- On iPhone, we ask for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using your IDFA. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android, you can limit personalized ads by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
9. In-app purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed by the App Store (on iPhone, charged to your Apple Account) or Google Play (on Android, charged to your Google Play account). We receive the purchase status and a transaction or purchase identifier, which our server checks with Apple or Google; we never receive your payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions on Android. Refunds follow the refund policy of Apple or Google Play.
10. Data retention, deletion and security
We keep your shared data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in More → Delete account; the details of what is deleted and what is kept are on the account deletion page. In short: your account, profile and notes are deleted from our server right away; if you are paired, your partner keeps the shared start date, dates, couple photo, Memories album and pet, without your name attached. If you signed in with Apple, the App also revokes its access to your Apple ID. Abuse-prevention records are removed within about 24 hours, and server backups are overwritten within 30 days.
If you unpair, each of you keeps a copy of the shared album and dates, and new content is no longer shared.
Analytics data held by Google is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings (up to 14 months) and crash reports according to Crashlytics retention (up to 90 days); neither is linked to your notes or photos. Data stored on your phone, including widget data, is deleted when you delete your account, clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
All connections use encryption (HTTPS). Shared files are stored in private storage and are only served to members of your couple. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Children's privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country (up to 16 in some countries of the European Economic Area), please use the App only with permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can edit or delete most of your data directly in the App. For other requests, email us and include your Account ID (shown in More → Account ID) or the Google or Apple email you linked, so we can find your data. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on this page.
14. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at bonmobile981@gmail.com. For help with the App, see our Support page.
